When the pan is hot, sear 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove all the meatballs to a paper towel lined plate.

Once the meatballs are removed, add tomatoes, sugar, salt and water – cook for 10 minutes on medium-low, keeping at a low simmer. Add the wine and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
