About Vegava Peaches and Cream Protein

For this recipe, I used Vegava Peaches and Cream Protein Powder which adds a little more flavour than a plain tasting protein powder to your fruity smoothie. What I love about this protein powder is that it’s 100% vegan and all-natural. Meaning you don’t have to sit there trying to depict the label to try and figure out what’s in it! Vegava protein is a combination of:

  • Pea protein isolate
  • Brown rice protein isolate
  • Hemp protein isolate

All of these natural ingredients provide muscle-building protein, along with amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. If you’re vegan, you probably know how valuable a quality protein powder can be when adding to recipes like this as when you are eating a vegan diet or any diet, you know how important it is to ensure you are getting the right amount of protein.

I love to make this peaches and cream smoothie post-gym or workout, when I’m having a busy morning and don’t have time for a fancy breakfast, or if I’m just in need of a mid-afternoon snack that will hold me over until dinner.

What should I put in my vegan protein smoothie?

The best part of smoothies is that they are pretty hard to mess up. Most flavour combinations taste pretty darn good together, especially when you are just playing with different kinds of fruit. For this recipe, I went with adding bananas, raspberries, and spinach as my key fruits and veggies. however, you can totally get creative here. I always like to add one green vegetable like spinach, kale, or even celery, the banana makes a good thickening agent, especially frozen bananas, and then toss in whatever other fruits you have on hands.

  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1 cup of frozen pineapple
  • 8 strawberries
  • 2 dates
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds

For this recipe, I’d suggest throwing in Vegava’s Vanilla Protein Powder for added protein!
