I saw Ahmad from the @thegoldenbalance post this recipe 5 weeks ago and I knew I needed to try it. He talked about the importance of granting or processing your onions in the recipe and it immediately made me think of my family’s Ketfedes (Greek Meatballs), so that’s how we landed on stuffing pita with Greek flavors. I used ingredients like onion — duh, garlic, chilli flakes and mint. Finishing it off with lemon and Tzatziki was a big flex move; honestly, these came out perfectly. I can’t wait to try Ahmad’s recipe next!

One of the factors that make this a Blue Zone is the diet they follow, which is incredibly Mediterranean diet-focused, rich in organic ingredients like olive oil, nourishing vegetables, hearty legumes, fatty fish, nuts and seeds.

All you need is seven ingredients – ones that you probably already have in your pantry and 10 minutes of active prep time + proofing and 30 minutes of cook time! Here’s all you need — you got this bestie! DONT FORGET TO SERVE THESE WITH TZATZIKI OR RANCH!

- 3 cups bread flour (or all purpose flour) - we used @bobsredmill
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 6 tbsp warm whole milk - I use @shamrockfarmsmilk
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast - @fleischmannsyeast
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp salt - @diamondcrystalsalt

I used @mezzetta hot sauce, @crackerbarrelcheese and @primalkitchenfoods buffalo sauce.
