However, we all know granola bars are such an easy snack. That’s why I created these no-bake granola bars to help you out!

Honey – The perfect natural sweetener and binding agent for these no-bake granola bars. It helps hold everything together and adds a delicious sweetness and subtle floral notes. If you prefer a vegan version, simply swap the honey for maple syrup – problem solved!


Seeds Trio – This powerful combination of flaxseeds, chia seeds, and hemp seeds transforms these no-bake granola bars into nutritional powerhouses. Flaxseeds provide omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, chia seeds offer antioxidants and additional fiber, and hemp seeds deliver magnesium that helps maintain healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels.   1. Prepare an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Add all ingredients to a large bowl. Mix to combine.
  3. Transfer the granola mixture to the prepared pan and press down.

Why are my no-bake granola bars falling apart?

The most common issue is not pressing the mixture firmly enough into the pan. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to really compact the mixture. Also, ensure you’ve used enough “binding” ingredients like honey and nut butter.

How can I make these no-bake granola bars vegan?

Simply substitute maple syrup for the honey and use dairy-free chocolate chips. All other ingredients are already plant-based!

Can I use quick oats instead of rolled oats?

Yes, though the texture will be slightly different. Quick oats make a softer bar, while rolled oats provide more chewiness and texture.

How do I know when my mixture has the right consistency?

The mixture should be sticky enough to hold together when pressed between your fingers but not so wet that it’s gooey. If it’s too dry, add a bit more honey or nut butter.

Can I make these into energy bites instead of bars?

Absolutely! Simply roll the mixture into balls instead of pressing it into a pan. This is great for portion control and grab-and-go snacking.

We used a combo of white, dark, and butterscotch chips! Have fun and use your favorite chocolate chips or chocolate bar!
Use ANY nut butter OR combo of nuts/trail mix that you want. Again, you get to customize it! Try using almond butter, coconut flakes, and dried cranberries – this is a combo that Tori loves! 
To make this completely vegan, be sure to use maple syrup in the place of honey and dairy-free chocolate chips!
Cut these into whatever sized pieces you would like, or make them into energy bites!

What nuts would you recommend, I know you’re saying a trail mix, but I prefer just a mono, what would you choose?

I would recommend peanuts, pecans, walnuts, pumpkin seeds & sunflower seeds! All great choices and interchangeable. Toast the nuts beforehand to get an incredible flavour!

For your no bake granola bar recipe, could organic ‘creamed’ honey i have on hand work well or is liquid honey better.. I thought of melting the creamed honey a tad?
