Christmas is just around the corner, and these Greek Honey Cookies are a true symbol that Christmas is almost here. They are one of the most popular treats enjoyed during the Christmas Holiday. Some people buy Cinnamon Clove Candles, but most Greek Yiayiaoulas make Melomakarona. They are so comforting and will have your whole home smelling like the best Christmas treat.

The cookies are easy to make, making them a super low lift! I used @bobsredmill all-purpose with beautiful cinnamon, clove, orange juice and the other traditional baking culprits. You can try these with chocolate or even lemon juice if you feel zesty and creative!

What takes these cookies to a WHOLE new level is the honey, orange, and cinnamon syrup they bathe in before being dusted with a stunning layer of walnut crumbles. These are my childhood in a baked good, and I know you will love them too. They are already my English husband’s favourite, and he’s spent all week enjoying them with a hot cup of tea—he said they are perfect for dunking!

I said what I said, and I KNOW the modern-day Martha Stewart Meredith Hayden would agree with me. I’ve never made Turkey, so why would I share my expertise on juicy, delicious Turkey?

What I am an absolute legend at is making Sheet Pan Meals, and this Crispy Chicken with roasted potatoes, apples, parsnips and fennel is screaming to be the icon this year. I used @champagnetaittinger high-quality champagne for this Friendsgiving Celebration to make this absolutely fantastic gravy that is the most fun take on gravy that I’ve had! And don’t even get me started on how balanced, luxurious and elevated this whole meal felt.

My sister said this is like when elegance and medieval times collide and I couldn’t agree more.

I grew up in a city with 15,000 people, but our Greek community was mighty large. Our Priest had to travel from out of town to conduct service on Wednesdays each month and sometimes it didn’t land on the right date for Christmas. So like any good Greek community, all the mothers, fathers, and aunties would plan a gathering in the church’s basement where we would all eat a dish from everyone’s household. All my favourite Greek dishes are in one place, just for the holidays.

Dolmades, Moshari Kokkinisto, Spanakopita, Patates Lemonates, Roasted Chicken and of course, Soutzoukakia.

Soutzoukakia (Greek Baked Meatballs with Potatoes in Tomato Sauce) is the most comforting dish you’ll have all winter. It’s essentially delicious beef meatballs cooked in a warming tomato sauce with potatoes. It can be cooked up in one pan and is such an easy meal for the whole family. Prep it and let your oven do most of the work.

The tomato sauce has a warming blend of beautiful spices, including cumin and cinnamon. It’s so warming and will have your whole family obsessed ♥️

The Soutzoukakia recipe was introduced to Greek cuisine at the beginning of the 20th century and it is said it’s origin is from the city of Smyrni or modern-day Izmir.

This Sheet Pan Gnocchi is the perfect dinner for the holiday season. Inspired by the viral sheet pan Crispy Parmigiano Reggiano Potatoes recipe (hi @kalejunkie) that took Instagram by storm last year, this recipe replaces those potatoes with gnocchi to make a delicious dinner. This recipe pairs the crispy gnocchi with juicy chicken on a bed of shredded brussels sprouts to make a complete, healthy meal for the whole family.

Did you know that Parmigiano Reggiano is always made in Northern Italy? Never anywhere else. More specifically Parmigiano Reggiano is produced exclusively in the provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, and Bologna to the left of the Reno River, and Mantua to the right of the Po River: this is the area hosting the farms where the cattle are fed on locally grown forage. It’s always only made with 3 simple ingredients: milk, salt and rennet. Choose what’s real! You know what to do 😉
