Homemade Labneh Cheese Balls

This easy, and quick appy or snack recipe takes classic labneh and turns it into labneh cheese balls that are delicious.
Oh, baby! I’ve truly outdone myself with this easy appetizer or snack that’s perfect as we head into the holiday season. These labneh cheese balls are made with creamy, flavorful labneh and served with Milton’s Gourmet Fire Roasted Vegetable Crackers.

Ingredient Notes:
Crackers: To accompany this recipe, I used my fav Milton’s Gourmet Fire Roasted Vegetable Crackers. They’re baked to perfection and made with premium ingredients, so they’re bursting with flavor from a blend of Mediterranean herbs and spices.
Labneh: You can buy labneh in the grocery store, but you can also make it yourself very easily. Check out my simple recipe here.
How to make labneh cheese balls:
- Make labneh according to our recipe *see notes below for a link to the recipe* – you will need 24 hours for the homemade labneh.
- Once labneh is prepared, scoop out 2 tablespoons per ball to make 8 labneh balls. Put a little bit of olive oil on your hands and roll each one. Set on a plate.
- Now make the spice mix: to a spice grinder or high powered blender add dehydrated lemon slice, dehydrated garlic and zataar. Pulse until a finer, combined texture is created.
- Pour the spice mixture onto a plate or in a low bowl and roll each labneh ball in the spice mixture. Repeat until all labneh balls are done.
- Finally, transfer the spiced labneh balls to a clear glass container or jar. Pour in enough olive oil to cover all of the balls and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
- Enjoy the labneh balls spread onto Milton’s Gourmet Fire Roasted Vegetable Crackers!
