Ingredient Notes:

Fennel: Fennel is really the special ingredient here as it is so good with digestion. It helps by reducing inflammation in the bowels and decreases bacteria that can make you gassy. The flavorful licorice taste is also so fantastic in a salad and even is really good to munch on on its own.

Products I Love for Gut Health:

This is not an ingredient in this salad but if you’re looking for other ways to help heal your gut and keep it healthy, I love ION Gut Support. It’s an all-natural, simple liquid formula that goes beyond probiotics to naturally diversify your gut microbiome while helping to defend from environmental toxins. Supporting the gut lining helps facilitate the healthy absorption of the important vitamins and nutrients in your food.

ION Gut Support seals the cells in the gut lining which helps to keep toxins out of your body and strengthens the terrain so that your microbiome can diversify and thrive. This in turn helps with things like:

  • Immunity
  • Digestion
  • Mood
  • Metabolism

I made this tonight as a side dish and thought it was really delicious. I’m not a fan of licorice, but the fennel flavor was so mild and slightly sweet and went great with the cider vinegar. I’ll be making this again!
