This cream cheese board looks fancy, takes no time to prepare, and is entirely versatile. It's so dang good you'll want to serve it at every gathering!
You’ve probably seen all the hype about butter boards, but cheese boards will always be the OG and the most delicious. This harvest cream cheese board is perfect for fall, Thanksgiving, or just on any day that you’re looking for a yummy cheese board to pair with a glass of wine.
Why you’ll love this cheese board:
- Easy & Quick: A cheese board is so easy to put together and always looks fantastic and impressive on a table
- Versatile: Get creative with your fav fruits, nuts, crackers, and bread to add to your cream cheese board.
- Yummy: As I said, is there anything better than a big ol’ cheese board?
Ingredient Notes:
Cream Cheese: To replace the “butter” on the trendy butter boards, I’ve put a cream cheese spread on the board full of yummy fall toppings like apples, and maple syrup. You can totally make so many variations of a cream cheese board instead, both sweet and savory. Get creative!
Capers: Lots of people may not know what a caper really is. Capers have a lemony tang and brininess of green olives. They’re usually packed in brine and can be found in the same aisle as olives or pickles.
How to make a cheese board:
- On a clean serving platter or cutting board, spread the softened cream cheese, making little swirls as you spread.
- Start by layering the chopped apple (use half to a full apple depending on how many apples you prefer), followed by the red onion and pecans, sort of filling in the space as you go. Then sprinkle on the capers, chili flakes, a pinch of salt and pepper. Finally finish with the maple syrup, a drizzle of olive oil and zest the orange over the board.
- Serve with fresh bread, torn into pieces for a rustic look.
Expert Tips & FAQ:
How can I elevate this cream cheese board? Try adding slices of smoked salmon or prosciutto.
