Hey all.. back with another simple, creative, and healthy take on Snacking with Kids! This one is so easy it does not even seem ok to call it a recipe… but I guess that is a good thing, so I cannot complain!  You can basically use this idea and spin it on any fruit but I just decided to use these bad boys since I have not used Cherries or Strawbs in the Snacking sections yet.

This “recipe” is going to be more than usual fun for you and your little ones because it involves dunking, and I mean who does not love to dunk?…

Especially when you are dunking Chocolate + PB covered fruit into Coconut flakes!

So literally guys all you need is:

Cherries – washed and dried

Strawberries – washed and dried

Peanut Butter

Chocolate Sauce:

Into a bowl add:

  • 2 tbsp Cacao
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp coconut nectar (honey will do)
  • Stir till smooth, creamy and rich!

Unsweetened Desiccated Coconut

Instructions Below!

  1. First start by making the simple chocolate sauce and setting aside
  2. Now Scoop out a few tbsp of Peanut Butter into a bowl and set aside
  3. Now begin to dip or spread your fruit into the sauce/PB, and immediately dunk or push your fruits into the coconut!

Voila! Done!

Notes:  The chocolate recipe was for two people.. so double or triple it depending on how many little critters you are feeding.  Same is to be said about the coconut.  Just use trial and error to figure out how much you need.  The amount needed will also depend on how much you like on your fruits.  As you can see by the photos I used quite a bit and they tasted amazing like this!

PS. I will not be doing my recipes like this for any other part of the blog but this one… they are just to simple to put into an ingredients box.. but if they become more complex I will do!

Love from your Greek Food Goddess
